Indianapolis company help design and make personal productive equipment amid COVID-19 pandemic

An Indianapolis company is helping to make personal protective equipment amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Catalyst, a product design, and development company, is helping Indianapolis News make PPE after its clients have requested it.

The company typically makes everything from baby toys, car parts, and medical parts.

In two weeks, it was able to design, make a prototype, and start producing the equipment.

There are constant requests for quick development and production of the equipment for its clients to help battle COVID-19.

"It's an unusual time to be in business especially our business," said Jack Lawson, CEO and president of Catalyst. "We got a lot of requests for PPE, masks, goggles, and face shields. A lot of those products we are doing for clients, they are large customers, PPE is not their Press Release Distribution Service In Indianapolis core competency. But based on what's going on, they want to do their part so they are shifting their production over."

Lawson says its masks have been tested and could be used by frontline healthcare workers.

Catalyst has made a few thousand products so far and plans to make tens of thousands of products by next week.
