Motorcyclist dies in afternoon collision with car in Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — A motorcyclist died aft a collision with a car Thursday afternoon, Indiana State Police said successful a quality release.

Timothy Edwards, 36, of agrarian Kokomo, died astatine a section infirmary from clang injuries.

About 3 p.m. Thursday, Edwards was driving a 2007 Honda motorcycle southbound connected North Washington Street erstwhile the clang happened.

Lindsay Ziliak, 33, of Kokomo, was driving a 2009 Ford Fusion northbound connected Washington and tried to crook westbound onto West Havens Street, pulling into the motorcycle’s path. Edwards tried to debar hitting the car by “laying the motorcycle down connected the ground,” the merchandise said, but his body’s momentum carried him guardant into the Ford.
